about

The majority of this song was written after my daughter's hospitalization due to an E.Coli O157:H7 infection. Since the bacteria could not be traced to any of the food we consumed, it had to come from the environment - run off from farms into rivers we had visited. Factory farming practices create incredible suffering and environmental devastation. Since modern agricultural practices are Federally Funded and Protected, the best way to fight this system is to stop consuming the food that is created with in it. For me, this means being Vegan or Plant-Based, eating organic, local, and buying in bulk with our own containers as much as possible. But no matter how you choose to fight, the revolution begins on your plate.

lyrics

Bred to eat, eclipse the sun, ammonia gas enters the lungs
Fecal matter in the breading ground, 47 days to live

R-Factor disease strain, Fearing the food supply again
and as the body count continues to rise
so does the PR campaign

Products up to its knees, manure vehicle carries with ease
Ground dead things into its feed, run-off flows downstream

The line shelves of convenience, carefully packaged malfeasance
and as the body count continues to rise
so does our ignorance

(chorus)
Break it down, tear down the machine
Tear it down, tear down the machine

The illusion at the corner store, the truth of the killing floor
Tie the hand the regulator with a federal stamp of approval

Unleash my legal team, to protect my intellectual property
and as the body count continues to rise
You continue to do nothing

(chorus)
Break it down, tear down their machine
Tear it down, tear down their machine

O157H7, releasing verotoxin
Hemolytic Uremic Syndrome, you've got 2 weeks to live

R-factor disease strain, fearing the food supply again
and as the body count continues to rise
so does their monopoly

(chorus)
Break it down, tear down their machine
Tear it down, tear down their machine
